Feeding Cattle...

Autumn snuck in early on us here in

Western Oregon

Foggy mornings feeding cattle...

We are wearing jackets again

when we leave the house...

We are feeding cattle across the river

this morning.

You can see our place in the distance...

Now that everybody has been fed,

we are heading back home

to cook up some breakfast for ourselves.

  1. Goodness! You'd think they hadn' eaten in a week! lol So. Do you have a bridge over the river? I'm sure you don't swim. :)

    1. They always act like they are starving, even if the feeder has only been empty for an hour! No bridge. We drive around on the road, cross over the county bridge, go through 2 gates to finally arrive at the cattle. I continue to ask Santa for a bridge, but it hasn't arrived just yet.

  2. Your first picture of the Cowboy and fog is Breathtaking!!!! That's one that should be framed. You captured so much in that photo! Love it!

    1. Sometimes we get busy into the routine of daily chores and forget to see the beauty that surrounds us. Thanks for reminding me Robbie!

  3. I agree with Robbie...plus the shot of "home" across the river!! They are both gorgeous!! Love seeing the bottle calves again. As much as I loved seeing the pictures of the bottle calves growing up, I'm sure you are grateful when there are no bottle calves for you to have to care for.

  4. I am greeted by the two bottle calves each morning when we arrive with the hay. They are really sweet steer calves and very mellow and gentle. They live with the cow herd.
