Feeding Cattle...

Autumn snuck in early on us here in

Western Oregon

Foggy mornings feeding cattle...

We are wearing jackets again

when we leave the house...

We are feeding cattle across the river

this morning.

You can see our place in the distance...

Now that everybody has been fed,

we are heading back home

to cook up some breakfast for ourselves.

Goats Love Apples...

These are our.....Weed Eaters

They just adore blackberry vines

This is our newest baby...

7 month old Little Louie

We begin and end each day out at the barn

with these little beauties

All of the goats just love...apples !

Every morning they wait by the yard fence

for a bucket full of apples.

Plow Girl......Harrow and Pack

The rain shut down tractor work for a few days...

The fields are all dry now

and we are back at it !

The Cowboy has hooked up

the harrow and the roller packer.

I will be pulling both of these bad boys

behind me !

It took 2 days...

the field is now ready for planting....wahooey!

Confetti Zipper Bags...

How FUN are these !

Confetti Zipper Bags

It all begins with chopped up fabric bits...

these are so FUN to make

with your rotary cutter !

Fabric Confetti layered

between vinyl and white fabric

Just a bit of quilting holds the fabric bits in place.

This is a round spiral design.

I also quilted a square spiral

which I liked even better.

After the quilting was completed,

I stitched the bag together...

I am working on my third bag...

just like potato chips...

you can't make just one !

Feeding Cow and Calf Pairs...

This time of the year we are feeding cattle

in 4 different locations

This is the West Fork

Cow and Calf pairs...

The mama cows gather around the round bale

and eat until they are full...

their calves linger along the fringes waiting

for their turn at the bale.

This is Apple Annie...

when she was a calf, she would come up to our yard fence,

where the apple tree was loaded with apples

and bawl loudly until I would come out

of the house and feed her apples.

She comes by her name honestly!
