We are preparing for a P2P Class...
T-Shirt Scarf
Debbie has invited us over to prepare for her
P2P T-Shirt Scarf class in March...
Debbie's T-Shirt Scarf.....Class Sample
Kathi brought these 2 shirts to create a scarf...
Nancy brought these 2 shirts to create a scarf...
Carmen brought this yellow t-shirt
I brought this ice dyed pink and blue t-shirt
Here we go...
Smooth out the t-shirt and
fold it in half lengthwise...
Cut off the bottom hem,
then cut 1 inch strips all the way up to the arms...
A t-shirt yields 16 to 18 strips:
Cut...
Cut...
Cut...
Now, take all those strips and.....STRETCH
Stretch...
Stretch...
Stretch...
We employed 2 different wrap treatments
to secure the scarf...
You could wrap it most any way that is
pleasing to you.
Nancy and Debbie modeling
what is left of the t-shirts...
Our students will have a BLAST
creating t-shirt scarves!

LuAnn, this looks super fun! If were anywhere near you I'd be at that class in a hearbeat. You and your tribe always have a great time! Love the colors and modeling the left over tshirts. :) Thanks for the demo as well.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your weekend,

Those are so much fun to make! What a great class that's going to be.
ReplyDeleteI love scarves and these look like such fun to make and wear. I'm sure I can find an old tshirt to try this out on. Thanks for the tute! I might have to forward this to my SIL who lives in Philomath.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to use up the rest of a T-shirt that has been used to make blocks in a T-shirt quilt!! You might need more then 2 shirts, but at least they wouldn't just end up in the rag bag! Thanks for the tutorial...your scarves look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWOW! how clever and another great use for those T's we don't wear anymore!! What's old is new again!!!
ReplyDeleteWatching all this fun made me think of all the t-sirt fabric I have discarded after making t-shirt quilts because I couldn't think of what to do with it! Oh my! Thanks for the post and all of the pics.
ReplyDeleteGeweldig idee, leuk om met mijn Movie Stars Bee te doen.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this idee, I want to do it with my friends in the Netherlands
