The deer were walking up the trail
and took the yearling calves by surprise!
The calves put their tails in the air and ran.

LOL - Great trail cam video. I think the cattle yearlings are definitely afraid of deer, anything different. But the deer, looked friendly at first, then startled. Glad they were all safe. Hopefully they'll figure out that they are all peaceful animals very soon.

Our mature cow herd graze side by side with the deer and the elk herds. But, these foolish, young yearling cattle just put their tails in the air and got out of there! Yearling cattle are always good for a few laughs.
