After a day of piecing...
half of the NYB quilt top is off the design wall...
These diagonal rows are.....LONG!
Here is half the NYB quilt...
waiting for the other half to join it.
I took these images yesterday
just down the road from our house:

Superb quilt, I love your joyous use of colour. Impressive icicles too, very rare here in the south of the UK!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so beautiful. Sometimes we just need to see an old pattern in new vibrant colours to make you appreciate it again. Can't wait to see the completed quilt
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love it when the top is just two huge pieces to sew together! You have really gotten that done fast since you got back from your retreat. Retreats are great for getting excited about a project and getting that momentum going for a finish!
ReplyDeleteSo wonderfully colorful on such an icy day in your neck of the woods. Hope all your animals are nice and snug in their barns. Annick H.
ReplyDeleteI can't get over how neat those frozen ferns are!
ReplyDeleteWow LuAnn! That NYB quilt is fabulous! The colors rock! I look forward to seeing it completed.
ReplyDeleteThe icicles are quite amazing too! Very cool.

Your quilt is wonderful!!! love the colors and pattern....ice wall...so cool!!! Great pic!
ReplyDeleteI shivered just looking at your pictures! It's freezing the puddles up here in Washington too. (Just not the cold, cold you guys are having down there) I have to wait to go anywhere for a while, I slipped on the ice at my car today, a first for me! I do need to go to my weigh in for WeightWatchers tomorrow, but I am making my daughter walk with me to the car. This old woman does not want any broken bones...
