Sketch Book.....Masculine Designs

While working on a quilt for my favorite guy,

I didn't have a lot of masculine designs

to refer to in my sketch book...

Here are a few designs I tried out on paper...

I decided to use the design on the left page...

Here it is stitched out onto the Quilt:

Nothing fancy about this design....but it works.

Look what's blooming in our valley right now:

Foxglove

They grow everywhere!

Especially along the road side.

Again....my favorite Cow:

She is a great mother and raises nice calves each year!

  1. I really, really like that quilt! I think it is the greens you used that drew my eye to it! That quilting is perfect for the quilt too. It gives it a mid-century retro look.
Your favorite cow is so cute!

  2. I really like the design you chose to quilt with. That's the part I have such a hard time with.
I was hoping for foxgloves to sketch this year as I had one last year. I believe they're biennials and mine don't grow this year.
