Sketch Book Quilting Designs....Filled Spines


Here are a few designs from my sketch book:

Here is how I make a filled spine design:


The spine can be a backward or forward shape S

Then add plumes, leaves or curls to the outside

  1. HI LuAnn, Thanks for sharing those sketches. A sketchbook for ideas is exactly what I need to start. Will have to get one soonest as my machine quilting is one of these things I have vowed to work on this year.
