Woven Quilts Class

Class Sample:  Woven Oak Quilt




2 contrasting fabrics are needed for weaving...





Both fabrics are fused on the back....before they are

cut into strips.





The fused fabrics are cut into wavy strips...





The students are eager to learn this new technique.





Barbara cut her strips straight.





Nancy is weaving wavy fabric strips.





Almost done....the last strips is added.





Instructor Nancy Bryant always has a big smile!





After the weaving is complete it is fused together.

Next....batting, backing and bindings.

  4. WOW! I just found your blog through Pinterest and have fallen in love with all you have to share! My initial introduction was through your sketchbook pictures. I am getting a longarm quilting machine next Friday (woo hoo!) and am going out today to get a sketchbook :) I am looking forward to looking more closely at the rest of your blog, but your pictures of flowers and Gunner (we have 2 Boxers) and your quilts are just gorgeous!!! I can't thank you enough for having such an awesome site with so much inspiration!
