  6. Thank you all for your kind and supportive words. I am trying hard not to dwell on her death, and to think of all the fun we had for so many years together. I know with each passing day my heart will ache a little less. Tonight our house is empty without her and Gunnr runs around looking for her.
    Good Night,
    LuAnn

  11. Oh, my heart goes out to you. It's so hard to lose our 4-legged family members. I'm so glad that she spent her last day with you in the thresd shed. I think she somehow wanted to remind you that she loved those days and that she would always be with you. Ugh. Now I'm in tears. LOL. I hope that the beautiful portrait pieces you created of Suzy and your years of memories will bring you comfort and healing.

  12. Hi LuAnn, so sorry to hear about the passing of your dear little dog. I do know how you feel. Our dear little dog Minnie passed nearly four years ago now and I still miss her terribly. She is the spoilt dog in my blog: http://spoiltdogquilts.blogspot.com/ and that is how I have immortalised her.

  14. I'm so sorry LuAnn... It doesn't take long for them to weave themselves into our hearts... I know you have 16 wonderful years to look back on... It brought tears to my eyes... She can now hear and see while running around in 'doggie' heaven...

  19. Our beloved; they leave and take a piece of our heart, but they do leave something behind to recall and smile for even when it is sad. I'm glad I saw her she was the sweet Suzy.

God bless you for having a caring heart.
