It makes for a beautifully turned edge on the orange peel and nice points on the ends. Because the interfacing is fusible, you can then fuse the orange peel directly onto the background square. It holds it in place until you can stitch it down. The featherweight interfacing is so thin you don't even know it is under there. You can also turn the stitched block over and cut out the backing and interfacing so you only have one layer of fabric in your block.

LuAnn
LuAnn Kessihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05452504557094310816noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713159193159889633.post-51963148548829436232020-12-28T04:53:07.113-08:002020-12-28T04:53:07.113-08:00Just found you on Pinterest and am now following y...Just found you on Pinterest and am now following your blog. Love your ideas and designs and wow what beautiful fabrics. We used to have cattle too but they are gone now and it is just grain farming but I miss the calves. They are so cute. May I ask if your orange peels are turned edge or sewn right sides together and then turned? Love the wordy fabric behind some of the orange peels. cindythequilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06652720996944653228noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713159193159889633.post-85339139149855166012020-11-16T19:40:25.622-08:002020-11-16T19:40:25.622-08:00Thanks Robbie!
