Oranges and Felted Bowls...

The Art Sisters are creating

Felted Bowls...

We are employing a wet felting technique...

Tools of the Trade:

Wool Batting, Oranges, Eucalan Soap

Separating the layers of the Wool Batting...

Wrapping the wool batting

around a wet orange...

Placing the wool wrapped orange in panty hose...

Into a ziploc bag with soapy water it goes!

Now we roll it around for 10 minutes...

Time to remove the panty hose...

Back in the ziploc for more rolling and felting...

Cut the opening....stretch it open, large enough

to get the orange out!

Here comes the Show 'n Tell:

Does it look like FUN?

You bet it is!

Gather your Art Sisters together and

give this a try!

  2. LuAnn,

What fun! I've felted soap but never tried felting an orange to make a bowl. Yep, I've got to try that. Thanks for sharing the experience via the video.
