Needle Felting......Play Day

Nancy invited us over to her studio to do
a little class prep for an upcoming
Needle Felting class in May...
Here is how our day went:

Instructors: Virginia & Nancy
We unloaded mounds of donated wool roving,
then played around with some possible designs
to inspire the students

We seem to be inspired by botanicals today...

My flowering cherry trees are in full bloom right now,
so I am going with a flowering tree design...

Nancy is going with a flowering vine...

We use a needle felting tool with a safety shield.

Under the project is a gray foam block.

Here are class samples we created in less than an hour:

This class offering is only 3 hours,

so we need to plan projects that can be

easily completed in that time frame.

Nancy is cutting foam core boards:
The Foam core boards are mounted to the back of
the needle felting projects:

There is fishing line tied to the back of the foam core

so the art work can be hung on the wall for display.

Permission 2 Play

is a free class offering for cancer diagnosed patients.

All of the class supplies are donated.
