Dyeing to Design Class...

I have gone back to school...

I am taking an online class at Quilt University

Dyeing to Design

Lesson 1

Dyeing Gradation.....Black Dye

I am happy with the gradated fabrics.

Elizabeth's dyeing instructions were very easy to follow.

I cut the dyed fabrics in half.

I am saving half for an abstract quilt design.

The other half I am screen printing.

I like Versatex Inks for Thermofax Screen Printing

The screen printing was successful.

I am heading out to the Thread Shed to see if

I can put a little quilt together with these fabrics...

Fabrics: Dark to light

Here is the completed quilt top:

Birds of a Feather

Tomorrow I will use the rest of the black gradations

for possibly an abstract design.

That should get me all caught up and ready for Lesson 2.

I am a bit behind in the class because of

the Thread Shed remodel.
